Chinese chemistry major allegedly poisons African-American roommate for months

Officials said that the Chinese student accused of scrawling racist graffiti has now been arrested for poisoning his African-American roommate.

The chemistry major Yukai Yang allegedly poisoned his roommate's food and drinks over several months with thallium which is an odorless and tasteless soft metal used internationally in electronics manufacturing and other purposes. It has been forbidden in the U.S. since 1970s. Authorities claimed that Yukai confessed to obtaining thallium to use it on himself.

The victim, Juwan Royal has been suffering from several symptoms including vomiting, shaking and dizziness.

Yukai had his student visa revoked and will be charged with attempted homicide.
