Florida man sues cemetery for ruining his father's burial, dropping the remains into the burial hole

A Florida man has filed a negligence lawsuit against a Queens chapel and cemetery after workers there ruined his father's burial by dropping his coffin and causing the body to fall into the burial hole as people looked on.

Yakov Sherman is now suing the Mount Carmel Cemetery Association after the Nov.13 burial's incident. The Brooklyn federal lawsuit alleges that "the defendant's employees dropped the coffin" while lowering it into the grave causing the lid to fall off and the body of Aron Sherman to be ejected. As relatives watched, the remains "fell into the dirt of the burial hole", workers then pushed the family back in order to retrieve the body.

A Memorial's manager said that the workers are the ones to blame, and that the funeral home "doesn't handle the casket at the cemetery."
