A Florida Sheriff's deputy murdered his wife, granddaughter and daughter early Wednesday before calling police and reporting his crimes then shooting himself dead in front of three responding officers.

Terry Strawn, 58, a Hillsborough County Sheriffs Deputy fatally shot his 54-year-old wife Theresa Strawn, and their 6-year-old granddaughter Londyn Strawn at the home they shared with him, before driving to his daughter's home and shooting her to death. He then radioed his department to report about the slayings, and his plans to join them as he "was losing everything." Strawn also told police that he had health and financial issues.

Strawn was named deputy of the year in 2009, and was working as school resource officer on a temporary basis.
