5years ago

The Missouri mom accused of killing her five-year-old daughter after driving her car into a Kansas River while the victim and her baby brother were inside has pleaded guilty to first-degree-murder charges.

Scharron Renea Dingledine, 26, is facing a sentence of life in prison for the murder of her daughter Amiyah Bradley. She also pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of her 1-year-old son which means a possible penalty of 147 to 165 months in prison.

Dingledine reportedly suffered from depression when she tragically drove her vehicle into the river in Lawrence with her two children inside. Emergency responders rescued both the mother and her son, and recovered the empty car from the water. The girl's body was recovered the next day.

The mother's sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 22.
