Houston father intentionally sets fire to home with wife, two small children inside

A Houston man has been arrested and charged in connection with the blaze that occurred at his home while his wife and two children were inside.

Jimmy Klayton Lauder, 31, now faces arson and child endangerment after he allegedly started the fire inside his home in the early hours on Dec.16. He arrived home "possibly intoxicated" and started arguing with his wife who then went upstairs with the small children to let him calm down. But instead, the suspect poured gasoline all over the bottom floor and set it alight.

The wife, alerted by the smoke alarm, called 911 who arrived on the scene along with The Cypress Creek Fire Department within six minutes. The flames were contained in the kitchen and rapidly extinguished. The two children and their mother were not injured.
