State troopers have found Wednesday morning, around 9:30 a.m. on an Interstate Highway in New York two badly injured dogs, reportedly thrown out a moving vehicle and are now asking the public to help identify the suspected driver.

The dogs, called Trooper and Adam, are currently in Broome County Humane Society's care. Trooper's wound was so severe one of his legs had to be amputated.

Troopers spotted a tractor-trailer parked on the left lane, on I-81, in Whitney point, 15 miles north of Binghamton. The truck driver was carrying a badly wounded dog. He told police he saw another driver slowing down on I-81, rolling down the window then tossing out the poor animals. Troopers said the suspect vehicle is believed to be a Dodge Durango described as very dirty with rust near the bumper.
