Within the days following the funeral held for her, detectives were finally able to move forward in the case of "Baby Jane Doe" arresting two people in connection with the murder of the newborn baby.
On July 27, Corona Police found the girl's lifeless little body inside a cardboard box, wrapped up in a floral-patterned T-shirt. And for months, investigators were unable to determine a cause of death or even her identity.
"Following the funeral, Corona Police detectives were contacted by individuals who had information regarding the case, the information lead to the identification of a male and female who could be involved in the death of baby Jane Doe," police said referring to Shawna Andritch, 22, and an unidentified 17-year-old who are currently in custody.
