Tacoma news, Washington news.

Washington authorities have identified a woman and her teen daughter and arrested them after they posed as photographers and tried to kidnap a newborn baby.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, a 38-year-old woman who went by several fake names such as “Juliette Parker,” “Juliette Noel,” and “Juliette Gaines” was arrested on suspicion of attempted kidnapping and assault along with her 16-year-old daughter.

The woman “was planning to steal a newborn baby to raise as her own” by acting like a baby photographer and visited the new mother’s home several times before giving her a drugged cupcake, causing her to feel numb and vomiting.

The pair had allegedly stolen the keys to the home before leaving. Police said that they have already tried to kidnap newborns by the same plot.
