According to court documents, an Oregon man was found guilty of stabbing his father to death in December 2017 before fleeing the area.
Upon police officers' arrival, Brian Nees told them that his son, Tyler Nees, stabbed him in his back amid a heated altercation. He succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward, court records revealed.
During the investigation, Tyler Nees who was arrested fifteen days later said that his brother was the killer but relevant DNA evidence and emergency calls linked him to the killing, prosecutors said.
Tyler Nees was also convicted Thursday by a jury of domestic violence and unlawful use of a weapon. His sentencing hearing is set to be in March.
