The lifeless body of a 25-year-old Sacramento man who went missing on New Year’s Eve has been found in the American River on Jan, 26.

According to the Sacramento County Coroner, the corpse that was discovered Sunday is that of Alex Holden, the son of Greene County, Missouri, judges Calvin Holden and Margaret Palmietto. He was last seen alive on Dec. 30 leaving his family’s home in central Sacramento at about 11:45 p.m. following an “argument” or an “emotional talk” and has not returned home.

In an interview, Holden’s grieving dad said: “He filled every second of his life. When he wanted to do something, he threw himself into it.”

No foul play is suspected in Holden’s death. An autopsy is expected to be performed to determine how and when he died.
