Long Island man arrested after stabbing parents over the weekend

A 24-year-old Long Island man was taken into custody after he stabbed his parents amid a heated argument that turned bloody last Sunday afternoon, local news outlets reported.

Nassau County police responded to a home on Barry Lane in Old Bethpage after receiving a call reporting wounded people inside. Once there, they found the unidentified victims, 62 and 61-year-old, bleeding from multiple stab wounds. They appeared to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Their son, Myron Mycio was arrested at the scene without incident.

The cause of the attack was not revealed by the police.

According to officials, Mycio is facing two counts of second-degree assault as well as criminal possession of a weapon.
