Police said that the identity of the woman who has fatally shot her 17-month-old son before committing suicide in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park last Friday has been released.
According to the Larimer County Coroner’s Office, 24-year-old Tristen Watson and her toddler, Christopher Watson, lost their lives from gunshot-related injuries to their heads. Tristen’s manner of death was ruled by the Coroner’s Office as suicide while the child’s death was considered a homicide.
The National Park Service confirmed that park rangers received a tip of a “suicidal subject likely in the park. The individual’s vehicle was located near Upper Beaver Meadows Road.”
