According to the medical examiner, the remains that authorities found in Old Bridge belonged to the New Jersey makeup artist who went missing on Oct. 30 while visiting a medium with relatives for a girls’ night out.
On Monday, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office tweeted: “It is with great sadness we announce that Stephanie Parze’s remains were recovered yesterday in Old Bridge.”
The 25-year-old woman’s body was located in a wooded area not far from where her loved ones searched for her three months ago.
Her 29-year-old ex-boyfriend, John Ozbilgen, who was considered a person of interest in her disappearance, took his own life in November by hanging himself, the prosecutor’s office confirmed.
He had allegedly sent Parze profanity-filled threats on Oct. 29.
