Mississippi police have arrested the man who opened fire at a postal worker as she delivered mail causing her fatal injuries.
Sherry Ingold died Friday night, a week after she has been shot on Mississippi Highway 35 on Jan. 16. She has sustained a brain injury and was hospitalized at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she passed away.
“Mama I hope you’re dancing in the sky, I hope you’re singing in the angels choir. I bet it’s so nice up in heaven since you arrived,” the victim’s daughter said on Facebook.
28-year-old Ronald Dampeer has been shot and arrested in the murder case. He reportedly shot Ingold as he fled cops following an attempt to kidnap a woman earlier that day. He has been hospitalized at the same medical facility where his victim died.
