Memphis Police announced that three children were killed amid separate drive-by shootings that occurred this week.

The first drive-by shooting unfolded outside an Orange Mound home where a 10-year-old boy identified as Jadon Knox was fatally shot at around 6 p.m.

“Jadon was the life of our family. Very, very funny. He loves to keep everyone laughing,” the victim’s aunt said. “He was only 10. His life had not even started.”

The next day, a 6-year-old girl and her 16-year-old uncle were shot inside their Hickory Hill home. Ashlynn Denae Luckett and Lequan Dequez Boyd succumbed to their injuries. Luckett was described as a hardworking first-grader while Boyd was the type who “would dance down the hallways.”
