Lamar news, Texas news.

A Lamar teen girl could be charged as an adult in connection to a 2018 murder of a high school student in a gang-related incident.

The unidentified 17-year-old is the third suspect to be charged in the case of Delindsey Mack who was gunned down by gang members in front of Lamar High School.

Prosecutors allege she was the person who convinced Mack to walk away from the place where a relative was supposed to pick him up. She, and another girl, were with the victim when he was approached by the shooters but she managed to ran away before the shooting began.

On Thursday, the teen sat in court crying and resting her head on her father’s shoulder as her lawyer, Terrance Windham, spent hours in questioning two Houston police detectives on her alleged role in the crime.
