New York City news, New York news.

A mortally injured man has crashed his SUV into a dealership car as he tried to reach a hospital, police said.

The 31-year-old victim was fatally shot in the back amid an argument with two men near a bodega on W. 51st St. and 10th Ave. about 1:25 a.m. on Thursday. He then got into a stolen Ford Fusion SUV and sped off only to crash into a nearby Potamkin car dealership moments later.

“He hit a beam real bad and damaged the marble on the ground,” Leroy Lopez, a witness said. “I heard he was trying to make it to the hospital a couple of streets away, but I guess he passed out before he could get there.”

Police are now looking for the gunman in the incident. They said that the unidentified victim had been arrested several times and had an extensive criminal history.
