An Alabama teen has been charged as an adult after he allegedly stabbed his mother and twin brothers to death before going to school on Tuesday, police said.
16-year-old Landon Durham is facing capital murder charges for the fatal stabbing of Holli Christina Durham, 36, and twin brothers Branson and Baron Durham, 13, in the family home in Munford, nearly 60 miles away east of Birmingham.
The victims' bodies were discovered later that day. The suspect was arrested while traveling toward Etowah County Wednesday at around 7:40 a.m. Authorities allege that he went to his classes after the slayings as if nothing happened.
"This is the kind of crime that you see on TV or the media or the internet," DA Steve Giddens. "To have it here, really hits home."
