A 19-year-old was fatally struck by an ambulette after he was shoved by one of two men he was arguing with, on Brainbridge Ave. Monday just before 5 p.m.

Angel Reyes-Gonzalez, 18, was reportedly arguing with the two men, believed to be his old friends from a gang, when one of them shoved him between to cars and into the road. He was hit by a Ford E-250 ambulette heading north, and suffered severe head trauma. Medics took him to St. Barnabas Hospital where he died.

Reyes-Gonzalez used to be a gang-member, but according to his friends decided to quit the gang. Something that apparently cost him his life.

“He didn’t want to go out. He didn’t want to go outside because he was afraid something was going to happen to him.” His friend Ricardo Antonio said.
