Houston news, Texas news.

A Texas rapper accused of striking and killing a police sergeant earlier this week has been escorted to court in her handcuffs.

Tavores Henderson, 21, was wanted for a couple of days after he fatally hit Nassau Bay Sgt. Kaila Sullivan on Tuesday. He was arrested in a friend's home and charged with capital murder.

But Houston police officers are now furious because Henderson's bond was set at $150,000 on Thursday: "A Police Sgt dead, suspect on the run for couple days, my team and our law enforcement partners do a phenomenal job locating & taking him into custody without incident. I simply do not understand his initial bond set at $150,000," Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.

Henderson escaped during a traffic stop and fled in his car. He reportedly fatally ran over Sullivan and dragged her body.
