A federal source has said Friday that at least one person has been shot at a food-service container plant in Conyers, near Atlanta.
The shooting was reported on Friday at Dart Container Corp and authorities said that the gunman remained inside the plant.
Three nearby schools and the county school transportation offices were on lockdown. Rockdale County schools tweeted: "All of our students & staff are safe. No visits are allowed on campus at this time."
The firm manufactures food-service products such as cups and plates and distributes them at plants and centers across the country.
Further details about the situation at the scene will be released later on the day as the investigation continues.
