An Indiana teen football player was arrested and scheduled to be charged on Monday morning in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old cheerleader, police said.

Aaron Trejo, 16, is accused of the killing of Breana Rouhselang, a pregnant cheerleader of the school's football team and his classmate at Mishawaka High School.

The victim's family called police Saturday night after they "got the feeling something wasn't right." Police discovered Rouhselang's body in a trash can behind a restaurant near her home Sunday morning. Officials couldn't yet determine her death's cause, but said she was shot, stabbed or both.

Trejo and the victim knew each other, from the school's football team, according to police.
