A Detroit toddler has been beaten to death by his angry mom over a fallen flat-screen TV, according to reports.
1-year-old Viston Levell Stevenson was found unresponsive when police responded to his home on Dec. 5, at around 5 p.m. Officers suspected a child abuse incident and immediately rushed him to hospital.
The boy died two days later and his mom, 20-year-old Rhionna Nichols, was arrested on felony murder, first-degree child abuse, and torture charges.
Authorities said that the mother was furious at the child when he pulled the TV off a dresser and she brutally beat him. He suffered a fractured skull, a broken collarbone, pelvis, and ribs as well as internal bleeding and brain swelling.
"I can't imagine what my nephew had to go through," Viston's aunt said. "He was a happy baby."
