California police arrested two "Grinches" who tryed to steal Christmas from a group of children in foster care.

Red Bluff police said it all started with a burglary Thursday night at Children First Foster Family. Staff members of the association reported the break-in Friday morning.

After reviewing the surveillance video, officers said they determined that the suspects were coming and going from the next house.

The officers spotted the suspects who corresponded to CCTV and arrested Joseph Betancourt, 24, and Marie Bennett, 40, according to the statement.

The police recovered the stolen toys and posted a photo on Facebook.

Betancourt and Bennett, both of Woodland, were jailed for burglary, theft and break and enter, Woodland Daily Democrat reported.

Red Bluff is a two-hour drive northwest of Sacramento.
