Man who pushed passerby into traffic charged

5years ago

The man who was captured in a surveillance video pushing a stranger passerby into oncoming traffic was charged Friday for that crime, but also for two other "random and unprovoked attacks" from last week.

Garrett Boldt, a 31-year-old, was seen on the video sitting on a sidewalk bench, on Wednesday morning, before jumping and shoving a man into the traffic, just in front of an oncoming truck. The driver managed to skip the victim but still he still pinned under the wheel and suffered serious injuries.

The suspect reportedly had punched a woman in a bus stop, the same day. And on Tuesday, he allegedly tackled another to the ground.

Boldt was arrested Wednesday.

He faces charges of premediate attempted murder and other charges. If convicted, he will face a sentence of life in prison.
