Major storm moving to North Carolina and Virginia

The major storm that dumped over 10 inches of snow on Texas is moving into North Carolina and Virginia with heavy rain and snow.

The heavy snow has already started in North Carolina and Virginia on Sunday morning.

Freezing rain is falling in parts of central North Carolina at a rate of a tenthof an inch per hour. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are also reported.

13 inches of snow had already been reported on Sunday morning in the mountains of western North Carolina.

The storm brought 7.96 inches of rain to parts of Texas, and 6 inches of rain to parts of Louisiana.

The radar on Sunday morning was showing a large swath of precipitation from Arkansas to Virginia. Strong thunderstorms and heavy rain will continue Sunday evening in parts of Florida and Georgia.
