Police are searching in Opa-locka, Fla for three suspects after a shooting near an apartment complex just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
According to officials, there were three gunshot victims following Opa-locka shooting, two of them suffered traumatic injuries and were airlifted to a local hospital. The third victim suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
A first responding officer was reportedly targeted by one of the suspects, but wasn't shot.
Investigators believe the weapon used was an AK-47 rifle basing on the rounds found at the crime scene. The K-9 unit officers were checking whether the suspects were able to flee the area on foot or had entered nearby apartments and were going door-to-door in search for the shooters.
