Texas authorities have announced the death of a woman after she fell out of a moving car while arguing with her husband early Saturday morning.
The tragic incident occurred as the couple traveled at high-speed down a Houston freeway. The woman, who had reportedly been drinking, crawled out of the car and tumbled out.
Police said that the woman was fatally struck by a passing car. A Good Samaritan who had stopped to help her was also hit by another motorist, while a third driver has been arrested at the scene for driving under the influence.
"You just got to be prepared to make sudden stops on the freeway," Houston Police Sgt. David Rose said. "You never know what's going to happen."
