A female pedestrian crossing West Colfax Avenue at Ingalls Street was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Friday night.
police say a black, mid-to-large-size SUV traveling westbound on West Colfax Avenue struck the woman at about 7:45 p.m. and then took off.
the woman was transported by paramedics to a local hospital where she later died.
No other description of the hit-and-run vehicle was immediately available and the identity of the victim hasn't been released yet.
