A 7-year-old boy was killed and a teenager is in custody after hit-and-run a crash on Friday night.
Shortly before 6 pm, the Florida Highway Patrol was called in the 10800 block of Southwest 155th Street for a crash.
The officers said that the boy and another person were riding a bicycle in an unlit area when the vehicle of a 17-year-old collided with it.
The teenager fled the scene but was found not far from the scene and arrested.
The 17-year-old is accused of leaving the scene of an accident without providing assistance, resulting in the death and driving of an unregistered motor vehicle.
