Authorities are investigating after a New Jersey mother reported finding her 6-month-old girl covered in bruises and injuries at the daycare.
23-year-old Anari Ormond received a text message from the J&A Nursery's owner asking her to call them on her lunch break. She was told that her baby sustained injuries after being left unattended with a 2-year-old toddler.
But when Ormond arrived at the daycare to pick up her baby, she was told a different story: The owner told her she fell down the steps while holding her infant and that caused her severe bruises.
The little girl was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where she was diagnosed with a mild concussion.
"I felt so weak knowing that my baby is so helpless and couldn't defend herself nor tell me what even happened," Ormond said.
