St. Louis news, Missouri news.

The husband of a missing Missouri woman has been arrested, police are currently investigating the case as a homicide, officials said.

The St. Louis County Police Department said Thursday that Jennifer Rothwell's husband had been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and falsification of material evidence, but had not yet been formally charged.

Rothwell, 28, was last seen in town clothes, Tuesday morning leaving his home in central St. Louis County, police said.

Her car was found near her home, authorities said.

The police said that although Rothwell's search was continuing, she was no longer considering a missing person case, but rather a homicide.

Rothwell is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 150 pounds, with long, light brown curly hair.
