A man is still on the run after running police officers in southern California.
The pursuit took place just after 22:30. Saturday after police tried to stop a truck stolen from Ford F150 at 1900 Dairy Mart Road in San Diego, California.
When the driver did not give in, the officers pursued her.
Eventually, the suspect drove 1100 Zurich Road, a cul-de-sac. Having tried to turn around, the officers exited the vehicle and ordered the driver to stop.
It was at this point that the police stated that the suspect had gone towards them, causing an officer to shoot.
The suspect stopped at 1200 Holly Avenue in Imperial Beach and fled on foot. Her companion was apprehended by the police.
A handgun allegedly belonging to the suspect was found. Police say he threw him out of the vehicle.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his thirties. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.
