An aspiring New York City actress who appeared alongside Scarlett Johansson in the Broadway musical "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" at age 6 has suddenly died at 13, according to news reports.
Laurel Griggs played in the Tony-winning musical "Once" in the role of Ivanka. She also appeared in several movies and TV shows including SNL.
Griggs was, besides her career as a rising actress, attending a public school. On Saturday, actress Eliza Holland Madore who played the same role in "Once" paid a tribute to Griggs in an Instagram post: "I am deeply saddened by the sudden loss of one of my Ivanka sisters," she said. "Laurel, you were always smiling and always made other people laugh."
