Valley Township news, Pennsylvania news.

Pennsylvania authorities have released the photo of a tattoo that was discovered on the decomposing remains of a woman in an effort to identify her.

The release came after police couldn't match the body with any missing persons in Valley Township where it has been found in a wooded area last month.

According to investigators, the woman was likely white or Hispanic, between 16 and 40-year-old, with the tattoo of a ram or a Capricorn astrological sign on her hip.

Police said that there was no indication of foul play in the woman's death, but they need to identify her and alert her family.

"This woman is somebody's daughter, sister or mother," District Attorney Tom Hogan said. "We are asking for the public's help to identify her and return her to her family."
