The Oklahoma University Police Department opened an investigation following the discovery of a Saturday morning body on campus.
Around 8:00 am, campus police responded to a scene near Asp Avenue and Fourth Street, University officials said.
In a statement, the police of the control unit said it quickly determined that there was no threat to others and secured the area. The office of the medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.
The authorities retain the identity of the individual until the next of kin is informed.
