A New York City man has reportedly decapitated his estranged wife and slit his daughter's throat before hanging himself.
Police responded to the scene after the wife's brother-in-law called at 9:18 p.m. to say that he was unable to reach the family. When officers arrived at the apartment on West 121st St. near Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, they found a gruesome scene: The 42-year-old wife decapitated in the bathroom, the 5-year-old girl with her throat slit in a bedroom and the 45-year-old husband hung in another bedroom. A knife was recovered from the scene.
The victims were not immediately identified but authorities said that the couple was going through a divorce.
