A deadly shooting in Surprise sports grill is under police investigation. the scene was crowded with multiple police vehicles and crime scene tape around the restaurant in the early hours of Thursday morning.
28-year-old Troy Paille of Surprise shot another man outside of the restaurant.
when police arrived the shooter was physically restrained by restaurant patrons to prevent him from escaping, while others were taking care of the victim.
27-year-old Anthony Kenny of Surprise was rushed to the hospital where he died later from his gun wound injuries.
Paille and the victim were “associates” and had previous conflicts. Police say this was a targeted attack and an isolated incident, according to the investigation findings.
Paille was taken into custody for first-degree murder, weapons misconduct and marijuana possession charges.
