A man entered Monday in Mt. California's Shasta Police Department with a body in his car. He admitted to killing four people, police said.

One of the bodies was in the suspect's car. The other three victims were in her apartment more than 200 km away, the police said.

Roseville's officers learned of the man's confession around noon when they received a call from Mount. The Shasta police, who arrested the suspect after his arrival.

This is an ongoing investigation in coordination with Mount. The Shasta Police Department, said Simon, adding that the police did not think the quadruple homicide was a random act. The suspects and the victim probably knew each other, the police said.

The police did not identify the suspect or the victims.

Police will hold another update Tuesday morning, Simon said.
