Four detainees in Texas federal prison were arrested over the weekend after escaping to drink, authorities said.

The foursome was arrested after being seen leaving the federal prison in Beaumont and crossing a ranch.

At the time, the police monitored the prison after "repeated reports that prisoners continue to escape and bring smuggled goods back to the prison complex," according to the press release.

Confiscated smuggling included bottles of whiskey and cell phones, according to the press release.

Julian Lemus, 34, Robert Young, 45, Leo Martinez 25, and Silvstre Rico, 35, were charged with escaping after the United States Marshals were placed under their care.

In July, two inmates serving heavy sentences for drug-related offenses escaped the camp - but never returned. They were not caught, according to KDFM-TV.
