A 7-year-old girl in England lost both legs after doctors mistake meningitis for ‘tummy bug’, "according to a report released Sunday.
Little Brogan Partridge was on vacation with her parents in Cornwall in 2016 when she started vomiting after a day at the beach, according to the newspaper.
Her parents took her to an emergency room, where doctors misdiagnosed the deadly infection, she said at the exit.
But later, she developed a bruise-like rash on her legs and her parents brought her back to the hospital.
The doctors then discovered high levels of bacteria in her blood, which ultimately caused her so much pain that she had to have her feet amputated.
Brogan is now 11 years old and uses prosthetic feet.
