A Utah Uber passenger has been arrested while transporting nearly 11 pounds of methamphetamine, police said.
Edgar Esteban Ramos Valdez, 22-year-old, was charged with possession of illegal drugs with intent to distribute after he was arrested while transporting the drug in an Uber vehicle.
Valdez was picked up at a Provo hotel with the bag of meth. Police officers pulled over the car after the driver drew their attention following too closely and making improper lane changes, a police report said.
When a K-9 was brought to the scene, Valdez started acting nervously. The bag of meth was found and Valdez was apprehended.
It was not clear if he had an attorney to speak on his behalf.
