9-year-old charged with murder after he set home on fire killing 5

Authorities announced the arrest of a 9-year-old boy after he intentionally set a mobile home on fire which caused the death of two adults and three kids last April.

The unidentified suspect is facing several counts including first-degree murder and one count of aggravated arson following the fatal blaze that unfolded in a Timberline mobile home in Goodfield.

The victims were identified as Kathryn Murray, 69, Jason Wall, 34, Rose Alwood, 2, Daemeon Wall, 2, and Ariel Wall, 1.

Investigators believe that the juvenile knew that the victims were home before he set it on fire.

Woodford County State's Attorney Greg Miner stated: "It's a tragedy, but at the end of the day it's charging a very young person with one of the most serious crimes we have."
