3-year-old girl shot in the head survives injuries, walks again

5years ago

Preslie Jenkins was shot in the head last October during an act of road rage and wasn't expected to survive. But the 3-year-old fighter is now talking and walking again, five weeks after the incident.

Preslie's mom says that her daughter was shot while the family was on the way back from a friend's home. A man flew up behind their vehicle, he sped up and shot once at an angle. The single shot hit Preslie right above the eyebrow and the bullet exited out of the top of her head. The little girl was then airlifted to St. Mary's Medical Center, where she was in surgery for about six and a half hours. Doctors had to remove part of her brain and her skull.

Since the incident, Preslie has been speaking and begun to walk with assistance.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
