FAU student threatens to kill teacher for scheduling an early exam

A 20-year-old student at Florida Atlantic University was arrested last week after he allegedly threatened his teacher for scheduling an early exam.

Rafael Decomas has reportedly sent a tweet threatening the teacher who scheduled an exam at 7 a.m. The tweet has later been deleted but the FAU police traced the account to him.

Decomas admitted he was frustrated that the data structure professor scheduled the final for 7 a.m. which meant he would have to wake up at 5 a.m. to come from Riviera Beach.

"Decomas advised that he deleted the post soon after publishing it," police said. "Decomas stated he did not intend to harm anyone and tweeted the post out of frustration."

He was released on a $5,000 bond, after being charged with sending a written threat.
