A 55-year-old woman had no choice other than shooting and killing a home invader who forced her, and two other women, back inside as they headed to church.
The three Michigan women, ages 55, 75, 29 were on their way to church on Sunday at about 10:30 a.m. when a thief confronted them in the home's driveway and forced them back inside. The 55-year-old managed to retrieve a gun and fired two shots striking the man at least once in the chest.
The suspect is believed to be in his 30s. According to neighbors, who gave credit to the woman for taking action, the area is all the time targeted by criminals, since it is a neighborhood of mostly senior community.
The woman won't face any charges as the shooting was an act of self-defense, authorities said.
