A fight involving at least 50 teenagers left one dead. A 16-year-old boy died after being stabbed in the chest by an 18-year-old boy. Many teenagers, rather than helping the victim, filmed him bleeding to death.
The fight broke out around 3:45 pm Monday afternoon in front of an Oceanside bagels store in New York.
An anonymous witness said that Morris had been ambushed by the group.
Tyler Flach, 18, of Lido Beach, was arrested on Wednesday night and charged with murder, according to the WABC. He pleaded not guilty to a trial on Thursday afternoon and was sentenced to detention without bail.
Morris was stabbed in the chest and died later in the hospital. Police said they thought it was targeted.
Perhaps the most shocking aspect of Morris's death is that people filmed him dying rather than trying to help him.
Oceanside High School students have been mourning since the beginning of the week.
The police were always looking for new witnesses.
