The investigation is ongoing by Georgia police department after the body of a woman was discovered last Friday inside a burning vehicle, officials said.
According to local news outlets, the corpse was found late in the night by Dekalb County police officers while they were responding to a report of a car fire on September 13.
The unidentified victim's body was found after the fire was extinguished. her age and cause of death remain unclear as for Sunday morning. Meanwhile, the Dekalb medical examiner will determine how and when the victim died, Sgt. J. D. Spencer said in a press conference.
