A press release from the Dayton Police Department revealed that a 29-year-old Kentucky mother has been arrested Friday following the death of her 17-month-old son who died at the hospital.
Stacey Schuchart is facing first-degree manslaughter charges after her child died at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Her bond is set on $1 million.
On August 16, the toddler was found unconscious and not breathing inside the family home by the Bellevue-Dayton Fire Department. He was later rushed to the hospital where he died that same day, the release adds.
The circumstances of the case and the boy's cause of death were not provided by authorities at this time.
Schuchart is due to appear in court on September 16.
