According to the authorities, a man from Utah stuck in a 12-inch drainage pipe under a congested overpass for hours until he was rescued.
The unidentified 40-year-old man was locked in the confined space for about four hours before he could find help, the Salt Lake City fire department said in a tweet on Saturday.
Passersby and others in the area heard the screams of the man and called for help.
The man had stuck about four feet from the 12-inch pipe, explaining that it was impossible to pull it with a rope.
The man appeared dehydrated and did not have serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital.
